Spring is coming - at least that's the rumour, although I've never seen winter hang on so tenaciously as this year! Dang! Winter was long! Spring will come, and we will delight in
the rebirth of grass, leaves on the trees, flowers blooming and the swat-fest that comes with mosquito season. Dang! Irritating bugs!
So, what's this wisdom mosquitoes impart to us? If you don't think you can make a difference in this world, be in a tent with ONE mosquito. Her buzzing will drive you to distraction, pushing all other thoughts aside as you focus on the bloodthirsty sound. When the sound stops, it's worse. Where IS that critter who will bite, spit and leave you itching and scratching for days?
One person truly can make a difference in this world. Your buzz can inspire action. You may impact one life so powerfully, the result is another person impacting others. You may impact a community through creative suggestion or volunteer action. You may impact your country or the world.
Don't doubt the power of one tenacious person. Sarah Burke, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Diana, Steve Jobs, and the list goes on. In fact, the list is so lengthy you'd fall asleep before you finished reading them all.
My point is, do your best to do your best while you're on this earth. You don't know the long term impact you will have, but choose to make it a positive one rather than negative or neutral. You matter. We all matter.
