My father used to wisely advise me to meditate for at least 15 minutes each day.  Wise sages say if you can't find 15 minutes in a day, meditate for 30.  If you can't carve out 30, meditate for an hour.

Doesn't that seem ridiculous?

Here's the thing.  Meditation - the act of closing out the world, to find the place of peace inside one's self - allows us to center ourselves for a length of time, which creates the inner ability to think more clearly during the day, and therefore be more efficient.  To carve out those powerful moments creates the extra time in your day by default.  As a bonus, the day becomes more peaceful, interactions more respectful and everything becomes more enjoyable.
